SHOULD I YELL OR SHOULD I JUST CRY?

Doc was "kind" enough to go get DJ a haircut....let me know if I should yell or just break down and cry (I'm leaning towards the later).

WE'RE ALL SUPERHERO'S

DJ's latest obsession is Spiderman. To futher fuel his obsession he requested that his birthday party be Spiderman...Spiderman cake, Spiderman balloon, Spiderman toys, Spiderman clothes, okay you get the gest - all things Spiderman.

One night as we're getting ready for bed, okay maybe begging DJ to get ready for bed, DJ proceeds to tell us his plans for our own birthdays.


Daddy is going to get Superman. Superman cake, Superman balloon, Superman presents and chocolate cake.


Mommy is Batman. Batman cake, Batman balloons, Batman presents and white cake.

KC is Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman cake, Wonder Woman ballons, Wonder Woman presents...

After all these birthdays we'll be our own version of "The Incredibles!"

BY THE NUMBERS

Well as of Monday, August 3rd the 3 Stooges have disbanded. Doc's son, Justin, flew back home to Gadsden, Alabama.

1 Diamondbacks Ballgame w-the boyz

Things he may have learned:

1 - I have a sister!

4 - DJ & I both like Spongebob & Spiderman

5 - Note 2 Self: DJ can't breath through the snorkle while holding him underwater

6 - Maddie, the cat, doesn't like to be picked up

7 - Church wasn't as bad (or long) as I first thought...

8 - I have a new friend following. (should I be concerned they're between the ages of 4-7)

9 - Games not on TV or Computer? Kick-the-can & Capture the Flag ROCK!

1ST DAY OF 8TH GRADE (Aug 27, 2009)

KC is excited for another year at WILLIS JUNIOR HIGH. Although she didn't get the teachers she was hoping for she has a great attitude (either that or she's worried about what Savana will say.)

She goes into this year at the head of her cheer team and will be in National Honor Society and Honors Classes. After school she will still be doing swim team and piano lessons and when she can fit it in (which she usually does) hang out with her friends.

NOTE: I can't believe I only get 4-more years of 1st day of school pictures!

DEBUT of ANOTHER WISE PARTY!

So as some of you may have heard, I'm (along with a few of my friends) working to start a company called ANOTHER WISE PARTY...so it was perfect timing when my close friend was having a baby shower and I was able to put together some elements.

BABY SHOWER CENTERPIECE

This was the centerpiece...thanks to Lucinda for sewing the elastic in the tutu's!(After the shower the tutu's were able to come off the dress forms and given to the mother and can be worn over onesies.)

BABY SHOWER CAKE

The cake was designed by myself but kudo's to: EXCLUSIVE CAKES BY NANCY RAY (Mesa, AZ). What I loved (and why I chose her) was that this was not made with fondant...not a big fan of eating fondant. The cake not only looked beautiful but tasted great.

IT'S A WRAP!

Okay so it was all worth it....we have over 250 guests arrive for a night that seemed to breathe another 5-10 years of life into my parents (which was the plan). Here's some sample pics of the evening!
